PARTNERSHIP:

Dick’s Sporting Goods Foundation and Scholastic came together to launch a national essay contest for students in grades 4–7 while increasing their awareness of the Sports Matter program.

OBJECTIVES:

LEVERAGE Scholastic’s relationships with schools and families to spread the message of Dick’s Sporting Goods Foundation to students, their families, and teachers

BUILD AWARENESS of the importance of sports to help encourage participation in youth sports and reinforce the value that sports bring to students’ social, emotional, and physical health

PROMOTE the Sports Matter program via poster teaching guides, which included lessons and student activities, as well as a student essay contest to all grades 4–7 students nationwide

MICROSITE IMPACT:

  • To drive awareness of the Dick’s Sporting Goods Foundation program, Scholastic placed a custom, co-branded destination for teachers on Scholastic.com. The microsite housed all program content and ensured that teachers could easily find the resources on a school-safe site.
